Terms of Hire

These terms outline the information that should be reviewed before confirming a car hire with DriveLife Blog. Final hire agreements may include additional signed terms. Last updated: 8 May 2026.

1. Booking enquiries

A hire enquiry does not guarantee a vehicle. Availability, rates and add-ons are confirmed only after DriveLife Blog reviews the dates, vehicle class, driver eligibility and pickup request.

2. Driver eligibility

Drivers must hold a valid driving licence accepted for the hire, meet age and experience requirements, and provide requested identification. Additional drivers must be approved before driving the vehicle.

3. Rates and deposits

Displayed rates are current advertised rates and can vary by season, hire length, vehicle class, coverage option and operational availability. Deposit amount, refund timing and payment method should be confirmed before pickup.

4. Vehicle handover

At pickup, the customer and hire representative should inspect the vehicle, record fuel level, note condition, confirm return time and review emergency contact instructions. Photos are recommended for clarity.

5. Vehicle use

The vehicle should be used responsibly on permitted roads and in accordance with UK traffic laws. Racing, off-road misuse, intoxicated driving, unauthorised drivers, illegal activities and negligent operation are prohibited.

6. Fuel, cleaning and return

The vehicle should be returned on time, with the agreed fuel level and in a reasonable condition. Excessive sand, stains, smoke odour, missing items or late returns may lead to additional charges where permitted by the hire agreement.

7. Insurance and damage

Coverage options, excess amounts, exclusions and claim procedures must be explained before confirmation. The customer should report accidents, theft, breakdowns or damage immediately and follow instructions from DriveLife Blog and any relevant authorities.

8. Cancellations and changes

Cancellation rules may depend on season, vehicle class, notice period and supplier conditions. Change requests are handled subject to availability and may affect price.

9. Booking requests

Booking requests submitted through DriveLife Blog are reviewed subject to fleet availability, driver eligibility, timing and operational fit. DriveLife Blog may contact the customer to confirm details before a vehicle is reserved.
